YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Explore Goa handles information connected with website visits, searches, accounts, feedback, listings and the Partner Portal.

Last updated: 28 July 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to Explore Goa website pages, search features, public listings, account functions, community feedback tools and the Partner Portal. Separate third-party websites linked from Explore Goa operate under their own policies.

2. Information we may receive

Depending on how you use the platform, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, account credentials, business details, listing information, uploaded images or documents, feedback, correction evidence and messages sent to the team.

Standard technical information may also be recorded, including browser type, device information, approximate location derived from an internet connection, pages visited, timestamps, security logs and referral information.

3. Search, location and recent activity

Search terms and filters are used to return results. When you choose “Use my location” or a near-me feature, your browser asks for permission before sharing coordinates. Location access can be refused or withdrawn through browser or device settings.

Recent search information may be stored locally in your browser to make return visits more useful. Local browser storage is controlled from your device and can be cleared through browser settings.

4. Accounts, feedback and listings

Account information is used to verify access, operate the Partner Portal, connect submissions with the correct user and communicate about verification, review status, corrections or plan requests. Listing information intended for publication may become publicly visible after review.

Private verification material, account credentials and internal review information are not intended for public display.

5. How information is used

Information may be used to provide and improve search, maintain accounts, review listings, respond to enquiries, investigate misuse, prevent fraud or spam, correct public information, send service messages, measure performance and comply with legal obligations.

6. Sharing and service providers

Explore Goa does not sell personal information to advertisers. Information may be processed by service providers used for hosting, security, analytics, email delivery, forms, backups or other operational functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect users or the platform, or during a legitimate organisational restructuring.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies and similar storage may be used for essential operation, login sessions, security, preferences, recent searches, analytics and embedded third-party services. More detail is available in the Cookies Policy.

8. Retention and security

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, operational records, dispute handling, fraud prevention, backups or legal requirements. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and requests

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with you, subject to identity verification and applicable legal or operational requirements. You may also manage browser cookies, local storage, location permissions and email preferences from the relevant service or device settings.

10. Children

Explore Goa is a general-audience local discovery platform and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authority or consent.

11. Updates and contact

This policy may be updated when the platform, technology or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will appear on this page. Privacy questions may be sent to [email protected].
